A ruin for WEDDINGS AND EVENTS IN GOTLAND

The ruin of Holy Trinity, popularly known as Drotten. Built around 1240 as a parish church for the Germans, rebuilt and expanded in the latter part of the Middle Ages. Drotten is a fantastic open and bright ruin opposite St. Lars a stone's throw from Stora torget. With beautiful light flooding in, this is a perfect setting for the wedding ceremony and mingle.

Abandoned in 1528 when the burghers began to take "rations" from the church's inventory, today we are the only event agency that can open the doors for your corporate event.

DID YOU KNOW THAT...

The ruin is named after the brave knight Goran who saved the princess from the dragon
(you've probably heard that story). After driving a spear through the dragon's neck, Goran
asked the princess to bring the dragon into the city. When Goran got the people to pledge their faith to God, he
killed the dragon. St. George was later beheaded as a Christian martyr.
