Visby – the world's best-preserved Northern European trading town

We take responsibility for our cultural heritage. Visby, within its walls, is the world's best-preserved example of a late 13th-century Northern European trading town. UNESCO considered this cultural environment valuable to all of humanity and included Visby within its moats as one of fifteen World Heritage cities in Sweden.

Thanks to collaboration with Gotland Museum, the National Property Board, Region Gotland, and local businesses, goGotland is able to offer our customers solutions for corporate events, weddings, conferences, trade fairs, or kickoffs in a very special environment.

Visby's World Heritage is a fragile environment in which we work responsibly in a sustainable way, in all three dimensions. We organize events in well-preserved buildings in a living city. We strive for balance in the interaction between residents and visitors to preserve the authenticity.

The World Heritage Site is unique, interesting and important, and in Visby there is ongoing conservation work that goGotland is part of thanks to our partnerships. We contribute resources to ensure that ruins, churches and other buildings remain for future generations to enjoy.
