TASTe of gotland

Gotlands Bryggeri in Visby

We start at Gotlands Bryggeri in Visby, which tells its beer history, brewing processes and different styles. We taste beer together in their cellar pub. The first day is rounded off with dinner with wine packages in Klosterlängan, probably Visby's coziest eatery (dating back to the 13th century) next to Sankta Karin's ruin.

Vineyard visit on southern Gotland

On Saturday we head south and visit Långmyre Vingård in Hamra. Emma Serner and Andre Guerra will tell you what it is like to run a vineyard on Gotland and how viticulture works. After the walk, you will be taken to the winery in Burgsvik where they show how the processing is done. The visit includes tasting of two wines.

Gute Vineri in Hablingbo

After lunch, we head north to Gute Vineri in Hablingbo. What does it really take to make good wine? Discover what happens over the course of a year at the winery - from winter pruning and maintenance to final harvest. We'll explore the winery and distillery, look at the equipment needed to make high-quality wine and spirits. And we'll taste four types of wine, including bubbly.

Gotland Spirits in Linde

Then it's time for some stronger stuff. Johan Johansson at Gotland Spirits in Linde does not mess around with the raw materials. Local, sustainable and with full control of every apple, ax and blackberry. They make their own raw spirits from Gotland's autumn wheat and use selected herbs and flavorings from the island's different areas.

Restaurant Bruna Dörren and Ljugarns Brygghus

Further east to Ljugarn and the restaurant Bruna Dörren where the small nanobrewery Ljugarns Brygghus serves up samples before dinner at the restaurant Smakrike. They say hello:

- We'll be sticking to what we think we do best, that is, tasting menus with our classics that have created food memories over the years. Join us on a journey through our 20 years at Smakrike.

Boge Bränneri - craft distilling and taste experiences

After a night in Visby, we head north to Boge Bränneri, a small farm distillery that distills and flavors spirits from fruit, berries, and grains. The fruit and berry spirits are made depending on the season and available ingredients. They work with small hand-hammered copper pots and bottle each bottle by hand. During the tour, you will learn the basics of distillation and taste the products.
Boge Bränneri welcomes you:

- Without bragging, we dare to say that tours at Boge Bränneri are an experience for all the senses.

Gotland Whisky and Gotlands Korvfabrik in Roma

After Boge, we’ll visit Roma and Gotland Whisky, where you’ll tour the facility and learn how whisky is made. The shop is open during the tour. Right next to Gotland Whisky, you’ll find Petter Bendelin and Gotlands Korvfabrik. He’ll treat you to a simple lunch before we head off to Visby. But don’t let “simple” fool you. In 2021, Petter was named Sweden’s Sausage Personality of the Year by the Sausage Academy and has won several awards for his culinary craftsmanship.

A taste journey with quality and flair

Doesn't this make your mouth water? And awaken your other senses? We partner with the best restaurants, farms, and producers on Gotland to guarantee an experience that combines quality and character. We promise a culinary experience in a magical setting that you'll never forget!
