5 Creative Activities for Your Conference

For us, a conference is a creative space where titles and traditional roles are irrelevant. Here, everyone is seen, heard, and valued in a supportive environment with a strong sense of community. In a safe environment, ideas are shared, and questions are asked that often open up new perspectives and create the conditions for success. By success, we mean an investment in secure relationships that last long after the conference ends. For some, this is certainly the case—a strong organization is built by people who feel a sense of purpose and commitment. In short, they work smarter, not harder. For us, a conference is a gathering that creates opportunities.

And this is where we start to think differently.

Think conference. Think again. That’s what we usually do. Almost always, we end up in uncharted territory that opens up new perspectives on the concept of a “conference.”
For example—what happens when you need to tap into an inner palette where new shades and colors emerge? A bit challenging, a lot of fun: we call this activity “The Artist.”
Artistic talent and the group’s ability to collaborate are put to the test. Amid easels, brushes, and paints, your team gains concrete tools to strengthen cohesion.

When we think of a conference, we see an opportunity to ask questions that, sometimes, yield unexpected answers. Always fostering community and a sense of security. As in our activity “Night at the Museum.”
When the doors close for the day, a magical, mysterious world full of surprising experiences opens up. Solve riddles together among the museum’s hidden treasures—a guaranteed memorable experience for your team to celebrate a success or write new chapters. A Night at the Museum sheds new light on how a conference can strengthen team spirit, boost creativity, improve communication, and build empathy.

When we think of conferences, we look beyond PowerPoints and flipcharts. We’re out cycling. Literally. As inthe “Gotland Bike Battle”activity. Mix a cocktail of adrenaline and fresh air in a uniquely varied natural setting, and you have a magical conference activity.
Grab the handlebars, the map, and the mission booklet to work together to untangle not only the riddles, but also your team’s (potential) collaboration knots.
Teamwork and navigation skills are put to the test along the way, with practical tasks and a snack capturing the flavors of Gotland included before the finish line.

Speaking of culinary experiences—what stimulates creative thinking and good conversation more than good food? We believe food offers a natural meeting place that sparks conversation and strengthens relationships. On our menu is“Matsafari”in the heritage city of Visby and its surroundings.
Four food stations, a treasure hunt, and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues. On the “Food Safari,” you’ll meet local chefs and sample dishes rooted in Gotland’s soil. Guess the ingredients, ponder questions about local cuisine, and enhance the dining experience through knowledge of Gotland’s food culture. This is a culinary gathering designed to talk about something other than work, which brings the group closer together.

Let’s challenge our mouths and throats a little more. Join “Körslaget” for a slightly different conference activity. Sing under the guidance of a professional choir director and experience how the sense of belonging and community grows. Singing breaks down social barriers and serves as a test of the group’s ability to solve a shared task.
We can arrange “Körslaget” wherever you like, in a medieval church ruin or in a meadow on Gotland. Don’t forget—memories are precious! That’s why we’ll film the session for you to revisit whenever the mood strikes.
